Woodworking

Hans repairing a chair

Pendle Hill has a well-equipped woodshop. For more than ten years staff, students, and volunteers have restored the furniture which adorns many resident rooms. Furniture restoration provides an opportunity to conserve, use and acquire skills, and give old pieces new life. Restoration is part of the Wednesday work morning program, and every Monday night there is open shop where resident students can pursue creative wood projects, such as making boxes, carving sculptures, and other projects.
