Gospel Choir
Explore Gospel music in the African American tradition. Open to the public – people from all backgrounds are welcome, including novice singers. Leadership will be provided by Gregory A. Love.
The choir meets Friday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 pm in the Barn at Pendle Hill. Begins January 28, 2011 and concludes with a fun and joy-filled concert for the community on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 8:00 – 9:00 pm.
Gospel Choir is offered free of charge to anyone who would like to participate. Participants are encouraged to come to each weekly rehearsal to prepare for the concert.
Gregory A. Love is a pianist, producer, writer, composer, and arranger who since the age of five has had extensive training in the arts. A classically trained musician, he earned a BA in Music from Morehouse College and has had additional training in the arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
He has been featured in Jet magazine with Oprah Winfrey and has performed for former President Bill Clinton, actor Samuel L. Jackson, and film director Spike Lee. In 2006 he was selected to participate in the Masters and PhD program at Princeton University's Graduate School for the Arts. See his website http://www.lovesmusiconline.com/
