Art Exhibit Features Pendle Hill's Minnie Jane Scholar Carolyn Keys

"Spiritual Journey: Inward and Outward," is the theme of an exhibit featuring works by Quaker artist Carolyn Keys during May in the Tree Room of the Main House dining room at Pendle Hill. The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Tree Room.

Carolyn KeysCarolyn Keys is currently a student in Pendle Hill's Resident Program and a recipient of this year's Minnie Jane Quaker Artist scholarship. Her studies in arts and spirituality have included studio work in painting, drawing, fibers, sculpture, and ceramics, as well as writing from journals of her past work with Friends Peace Teams in Burundi, South Africa, and Rwanda. A resident of the US Virgin Islands, Carolyn is a retired social worker turned artist in her 60s. She is a member of Montclair Monthly Meeting, New York Yearly Meeting. This exhibit is her first solo show.
