Fall 2006
Marian and John Sheldon are members of Hardshaw East Monthly Meeting in Britain Yearly Meeting. They relish their local meeting, Warwick, which is vibrant and full of fun. They have experienced international Quakerism through attending and/or leading programs at gatherings such as Friends World Committee for Consultation triennial and Friends General Conference. Marian has worked as an overseer and, until recently, as a head of various math departments in schools. John spent thirty years in education, the last five as principal of Woodbrooke. He now works as a massage therapist while he and Marian run a small business in health and nutrition products. They were at Pendle Hill in 1998 when John led a weeklong course. Marian and John will bring with them to Pendle Hill an understanding of British Quakerism and other traditions; experience with living in an intentional faith community; skills in teaching, music and healing; and a willingness to be alongside others as they explore their lives and their spirituality together.
