A Great People To Be Gathered: The View from Pendle Hill
The Fourth Annual Stephen G. Cary Memorial Lecture given by Parker J. Palmer in the gallery of the Community Arts Center next door to Pendle Hill in Wallingford, PA on Saturday November 13, 2010 at 3pm. This was part of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Pendle Hill, a Quaker Study, Retreat and Conference Center.
Parker J. Palmer lived and worked at Pendle Hill as a student, dean, teacher, and writer in residence from 1974 to 1985. He is the author of numerous articles and books including A Hidden Wholeness , Let Your Life Speak, The Active Life , and The Courage to Teach, and is a founder of the Center for Courage and Renewal. He has been featured on Public Television’s Bill Moyers Journal, Public Radio’s Speaking of Faith, and in numerous periodicals.
