Beech Tree is State Champion
The 300 year-old beech tree which has impressed generations of Pendle Hill residents and visitors has been named the Pennsylvania State Champion American Beech (Fagus grandifolia). With a height of 91 feet, a spread of 101 feet and a circumference (at 4.5 feet) of 262 inches, the Pendle Hill beech tree is unsurpassed for its size.
