Pendle Hill is next door to the Community Arts Center of Wallingford, where classes taught by gifted artists are offered in a variety of media. Swarthmore College is within walking distance; Pendle Hill Resident Program students may attend significant public events held there and arrange for access to the library, swimming pool and some classes. Also within walking distance is the Wallingford train station and easy travel to Philadelphia and its many cultural attractions. The nearby town of Media offers a variety of restaurants. Internationally famous Longwood Gardens is a half hour by car to the west.
