Join the co-authors of Fit for Freedom, Not for Friendship: Quakers, African Americans, and the Myth of Racial Justice to examine why Quakers remain a mainly European- American community. Discuss personal and institutional experiences of racism and use the book’s epilogue, “Toward an Inclusive Community,” to plan specific ways to work for racial justice. Supplementary materials and a DVD will aid in planning specific steps. (Reading Fit for Freedom is encouraged but not required!)
$360/private room; $285/shared room; $200/commuter.
